One hell of a cover here by David Leslie Martin. He shows up often on Space Gamer and other Steve Jackson products. I love it. So gnarly and honestly a bit surprisingly violent. It would show up again in 1983 on the cover of Steve Jackson’s Battlesuit board game.

Inside, the magazine feels less like a house organ than it did in the Metagaming days. There is a wide swath of games reviewed and expounded upon. There’s fiction by some guy named Timothy Zahn. There is a new race for Space Opera that is basically bear people crossed with the Empire from Star Wars. There is a rad ad for the first Ultima game, too.
